1. Unusualness- different, out-of-the-ordinary
2. Significance- important events that affect many
3. Timeliness- current, while it's happening
4. Proximity- nearby, local events
5. Prominence- well-known people/places involved
6. Human Interest- emotional and personal appeal; heart-warming


-Differences Between Print and Broadcast Journalism-
1. Print Journalism provides fuller coverage of more stories
2. Readers choose what they want to read
3. News magazines provide more in-depth coverage
4. Radio offers excellent coverage of fast-breaking stories
5. TV news provides the most dramatic news coverage

6. Broadcast is less depth
